A very common experience as a human being is chronic fatigue. Even healthy people can feel tired often, even early in the day. This is very likely related to the high stress lives we live, even if you don't feel stressed out. Your body will learn to cope with the constant feelings of stress and pretty soon you don't even know you have chronic stress! Here are some ways to help boost your energy….
- Get your sleep- make it a priority, practice diaphragmatic breathing as you fall asleep and include aroma therapy in your night time routine. Lavender is the most effective oil in relaxing brain waves and reducing stress.
- Reduce Perceived Stress- We may not always be able to change what stresses us out, but we can cope more efficiently. Be aware of your day to day stress and find a way to help yourself out. Again using aromatherapy such as lavender in the day as well as self talk will help you cope with stressors more effectively by relaxing your brain waves and preventing your stress hormones from cycling.
- Drink water throughout the day- the importance of water is underestimated in every aspect of health. But for this topic the more we promote filtration in our bodies, the easier we can excrete what our bodies would like to excrete.
- Don't skip meals and Do eat healthy- When we don't manage our food intake properly our body needs to get energy sources from somewhere, the body does this by excreting cortisol from the adrenal glands to raise blood sugar, the results are excess cortisol (a stress hormone)
