Goals! Jog a Mile Without Stopping!




Setting goals is very important! Here is a training schedule if you'd like to work toward the goal of being able to jog for a FULL MILE without stopping!

Day 1-5
Walk for 30 seconds as fast as you can
Walk slower until you recover…. Just repeat this pattern until you reach 2 miles. Write down your time and keep it for your records.

Day 6-10

Walk for 1 minute at fast pace pushing yourself to maintain a fast pace for a full minute
Walk slower to recover for 30 seconds
Walk fast again for 1 more minute same as the first minute
Walk slow and recover for one minute.
Do this pattern over and over until you reach 2 miles

Day 11-15

Jog on the treadmill for as long as you can at a slow pace, once you can't go any further walk slow to recover fully.
Do it again unit you reach 2 miles.

Day 16- 20

Jog on treadmill for as long as you can, once you can't go any further walk quickly until you feel like you can jog again, as soon as you feel like you can jog, do it! Do that until you reach 1 mile.

Day 21-22

Jog on the tread mill at a fast and difficult pace for 30 seconds, walk until you recover do that again until you reach 1 mile.

Day 23

Walk Jog 2 miles on the treadmill at a relaxed pace, don't push it just enjoy walking and jogging as you relax and loosen up. Tommorrow is the big day!

Day 24

Today you are going to jog for mile without stopping!! Get on the treadmill and slowly build up your speed until you are at a slow jog, just above walking speed. You can do it! Maintain that speed until one mile! Surprise yourself! just keep on going! Great job!
